Historical Plaque I particularly like the text of the second paragraph: "This beautiful bridge is a salute to the integrity of our forefathers, who built so many arches long ago, and it is still less expensive to build an arch in 1973 than any of the many other more conventional multiple girder structures that are so popular today." | The plaque goes on to talk about the "...sixty year old 16th Avenue arch bridge that was built in 1910..." that was replaced in 1988.
