They did not do much to the bridge while it was closed. I think they only did truss repairs and slight roadway work.
They didn't even repaint it.
However, it is back open

The Central Avenue bridge was closed in late April of 08 for full rehabilitation.
The lower and upper deck are being completly redone.
These are some pics of a deck pratt truss that is in a1 condition.It was built in 1948.current rating of 75.8. The original deck was replaced in 1984 to eliminate the drainage holes in the old deck.It's ID is #5718. Currently in use.It is located in sandstone,MN on hwy123 over the kettle river.
Finaly!! thanks to whoever sent this pic!!!! I live 2 miles from a deck pratt truss[# 5718 kettle river bridge,Sandstone MN] I have been looking for a pic similar to my bridge. It is a single deck with a well formed arch and BEAUTIFUL river scenery. I plan on sending a pic asap as this is a must see!!! I walk on it and spend hrs enjoying the view!! PS it's rating is 78.6 and it is well preseved!
