Overview
Four concrete arch bridges over a on-/off-ramps to 96th Street on the Henry Hudson Parkway in New York City
Location
New York, New York County, New York
Status
Open to traffic
History
Built 1938 as part of the West Side Improvement
Design
The parkway runs through the center of Riverside Park, and the narrowness of the park necessitates an interchange with a complex pair of sharp loops and four arch bridges. Drivers entering from 96th Street wanting to drive south on the parkway make a loop under the northern pair of arches to reach the southbound on ramp. Northbound exits to 95th Street also take this loop. Exits from the southbound parkway make a loop under the southern pair of arches to emerge at 95th Street. NYC BIN numbers 2229311/2229312 and 2229321/2229322.
