Design
The Lusted Road Bridge is a pin-connected Pennsylvania-Petit truss consisting of both wrought iron and steel members. The bridge was originally part of the Burnside Bridge in Portland, Oregon crossing the Willamette River, but was moved to the current location in 1926. The truss portals contain nautical design elements which were appropriate to its former location crossing the Willamette shipping channel. The Lusted and Bull Run Bridges are the only remaining bridges on the Oregon highway system that utilize wrought iron as a building material.
The Lusted Bridge is adjacent to the Portland Waterworks Bridge which is a similar pin-connected wrought iron truss bridge built in 1895 to carry water pipes.

The sidebar of the above link and a 1987 Oregonian article mention that this bridge and another Sandy River bridge use

spans from the 1894 version of the Burnside Bridge.
