This picture was taken at sunset on a day in the spring of 1974, shortly after a tractor-trailer truck drove over the 3-span bridge from the north end. The third span collapsed into the river from the weight of the truck's load. The other two spans were demolished shortly after. A new concrete I-beam bridge was built within a year, and prompted a re-building program involving all the old Pratt through truss bridges in the northern end of Marshall County. This is the only known private picture that exists of the old bridge
