The West Side Notice the debris gathering in the "dead spot" immediately in front of the camera position. This is a problem in several locations where a bridge crosses at a bend in the river. The areas were created to accommodate tug boats at the river bends, which are no longer needed. The normal channel flow does not carry the debris away and it gathers in these locations.
