Government Plaque

According to NBI data, this bridge was built in 1934, but the WPA plaque says 1941. The Works Progress Administration was commonly known as "We Poke Along" for the speed with which it was known to operate. Maybe it took seven years to build the parapet walls, more likely, it took seven years to mount the plate.
