Pylons and Cables

These mirror image structures replaced the 6th Viaduct, built in 1908, that stretched 2,780 feet across the valley. Ramps provided access to Canal Street and the US Post Office.

These are the first cable stayed bridges in Wisconsin. The pylons are 142' tall.

The East Side

This bridge provides access for postal vehicles to the post office. It was also a part of the old viaduct.
